Time for a new challenge at Creative Fingers and I decided to make something that might cheer me up through this awful dull grey weather!
My image is Michelle in a Hot Air balloon from our sponsor Milk coffee, it's the first time I've coloured with my markers for a while and I must admit I'm quite rusty!
Here's the link to the challenge blog for all the details.

Some colouring
I've had a bit of a stressful year (I won't bore or depress you with the details!) But I have discovered that I find colouring images so relaxing and it has kept me sane through some tough times!
I love crafting and that will never change but I have found myself colouring images with no intention of using them in projects. I would love to learn more about colouring and explore it even more.
So when I saw that the wonderful Ppinky dolls were having a huge DT call and were looking for colourists I could not resist applying.
I thought I would blog the images I've coloured over the last couple of weeks.
This is a Ppinkydolls image which was kindly given away in their Facebook group.
This is a gorgeous Delicious Doodles image
And this is a Lacy Sunshine image.
Here's the link to the Ppinkygirls DT call, these are the most beautiful, whimsical images and it would be an honour to work with them.

Maigan Lynn Card red, black and white
I've been desperate to get colouring another of my fab Maigan Lynn digis and decided to try a red, black and white theme, here's my card
My background papers are Papermania, my dies are Cheery Lynn and I gave them a wee rub with Creative Expressions gilding wax, gems from my stash. I kept it quite simple as the image is just stunning! I loved colouring it with my Polychromos.
I could look at this image all day imagining all sorts of stories, where are the batgirl and her rabbit like companion going in their steamship? I love images that make me think! You will find all Maigan Lynn's amazing digis on Etsy.
I would like to submit my card to apply to the DT call for the new challenge blog A Step in the Dark. I love all areas of crafting but have recently accepted that cute and cuddly is just not me as I find myself increasingly drawn to the dark side! I love all things gothic, emo and edgy. It would be an amazing opportunity and I would be honoured to be considered.

Punkyougirl Fairy Tales Gone Bad mid challenge reminder
I have some very exciting news I have joined the Design Team of the Punkyougirl challenge blog! I am a huge fan of this darkly delicious blog and am honoured to join the team. I am so excited to work with the talented and lovely ladies on the team and can't wait to explore my dark side!
We are midway through a challenge and the theme is Fairy Tales Gone Bad. Here's my card
I coloured it with artist colouring pencils all except the black between the trees which I did with a promarker as I couldn't get it as dark as I wanted with a pencil! My dies are sizzix and my backing paper is Prima, ribbons and lace from my stash and black cosmic shimmer dots to finish.
There is something quite sinister in the image that I love, it makes me wonder why are red riding hood and the wolf together? And where is Grandma! To add to the creepiness I added a touch of blood to the wolves lips and the axe in the background.
I can't wait to see all the entries in our Fairy Tales Gone Bad challenge, we are a dark themed challenge so we are looking for projects that follow the theme and have a dark edge e.g. horror gothic etc
Please pop along to the blog herefor all the details.

Through the Purple Haze Digital Elements challenge
What a treat we have in store for you this week at Through the Purple Haze, we have two fabulous sponsors - Milk Coffee and Craftsuprint.
That meant I got to make two creation this week!
My first card is using a fab digi from Milk Coffee, I just can't resist a fairy digi!
My gorgeous fairy is coloured with pencils, yes my obsession is still burning strong! My background paper is from Making Cards magazine as is my love sentiment. My die cuts are My Craft Studio and some washi tape and gems from my stash to finish.
Next a more vintage feel from Craftsuprint
My main image is from a decoupage set from Craftsuprint but I chose not to decoupage it as I wanted it more like a vintage postcard. My background paper is prima and my doilie is papermania, vintage buttons from my stash and die cuts from Memory box. I thought the sentiment fitted as she looks so happy doing the most dreaded of tasks, cleaning up!
This decoupage sheet along with many others is available free to download here

Creative Fingers use a Brad
When I saw our theme for our challenge this week, use a brad, I remembered that when I started crafting over ten years ago I had a bit of an obsession with brads! I had so many I didn't know what to do with them all so I put them all in a huge jar. I dug that jar out and do you know it's still nearly full!
I had a rummage in it for the brads I was looking for and found them thank goodness. This week we are sponsored by the wonderful Delicious Doodles, I always love working with Terri's images. Here's my card
The image is coloured with artists pencils, my background paper is from Making Cards magazine and my wee rosebuds are from my stash and coloured black with a Promarker.
I can't wait to see your creations using brads, please pop along to the blog for all the details of the challenge.

Through the Purple Haze Use a Digi
I absolutely loved seeing all your pencil coloured projects in our last challenge, I have been totally inspired and am using my coloured pencils again this week!
We have a nice easy theme this week, use a digi. We are sponsored by the utterly fab Kenny K, I loved my image so much I made 2 projects!
My first brown/green tag uses backing paper from Making cards magazine, my die cut is My Craft Studio and my ribbon and Cameo are from the Works. I was hoping for a vintage feel, here's a close up

Through the Purple Haze Coloured with Pencils Challenge
You have a lot to answer for Through the Purple Haze challenges! I now have a new obsession thanks to this weeks theme, we want to see your creations using colouring pencils. I must admit I have never tried it before but now I am addicted. We are sponsored by the fabulous Derwent.
There's something so satisfying about pencil colouring, don't get me wrong I love colouring with alcohol markers which blend beautifully, but there's something special about seeing all your own pencil strokes. I think it reminds me of being a wee girl with my dreams if being an "artist" when I grew up lol.
I decided to colour a Simply Betty digi called Abby Portrait I have had for a while but not used yet, here's my card
My backing paper is Prima, my sentiment is papermania, my ribbon is from my stash and I finished off with some dots of pearly Cosmic Shimmer.
I don't go for half hearted for my first attempt I don't think I could have chosen brighter colours if Id tried. I really enjoyed colouring her so hopefully I will improve with practice.
I can't wait to get inspired by all your pencil drawn and coloured projects so please take a look at the challenge blog here for all the details.

Creative Fingers Anything but a Card
We have one of my favourite themes this week at Creative Fingers I love trying to make different things with varying success!
We are sponsored by the wonderful Art by Miran, I decided to make a calendar
I have been having serious problems with my camera blurring (nothing to do with me dropping it I'm sure ahem) so I will post a better photo when it's fixed
My calendar was a freebie I printed off the internet and my background paper was also a freebie from a magazine, all my die cuts are My Craft Studio and they are coloured, as is my image, with Promarkers. My resin flowers and ribbon are from my stash.
I can't wait to see your creations whether you follow our optional twist of anything but a card or just anything goes.

Through the Purple Haze Embossing challenge.
It's time for a new challenge at Through the Purple Haze and this week we want to see your creations using embossing.
We are sponsored by My Mums Craft Shop
I must admit I avoid heat embossing (embossing powder plus heat gun plus two year old equals disaster!) But I do own a lot of embossing folders and don't use it as a technique as often as I'd like. Here's my card
My main image is Harley from my favourite stamping company Visible Image and would you believe I was lucky enough to win him in one of their giveaways! I coloured him with Distress Markers used as watercolours. The sentiment and hearts and diamonds are all part of Harleys stamp set. I used two different embossing folders, checks and dominoes, but I've had them both so long I have no idea what makes they are! I finished off with some dots of pearly Cosmic Shimmer to make a border.
Isn't Harley a cutie? But there's something a wee bit creepy about him too, I think it's that crooked smile, I love it!
I can't wait to see all your embossed creations, please pop along to the blog here for all the details of our challenge.

Crafty Hands Embossed Background

Creative Finger Use your Dies or Punches
Our theme this week at Creative Fingers is close to my heart, I love my dies! I dread to think how many I own Im too scared to keep them all in the same place so I don't know exactly how many there are!
We are sponsored by the wonderful Stamping Chef and I got Demented Beauty to play with, heres my card
She's coloured with Spectrum Noirs, my background paper is Chronology by papermania, as are my lace ribbons. My cameo is from the Works. The dies I used are from Spellbinders and Cheery Lynn.
I didn't set out to make such a purple card but im pleased with it.
I hope you will find the time to take a look at the blog for all the details of this week's challenge.

TTPH favourite colours
At Through the Purple Haze this week we are asking you to show us your creations using your favourite colours.
I change my favourite colour to craft with on a daily basis so I thought I would take a look at my markers to give me a clue what to use! There was an overwhelming winner in blue, I have a million blues!
This week we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles and we got some amazing digis to play with, heres my card
She is called Steampunk mermaid, I coloured her with my Spectrum Noirs and added some glitter. My background paper is chronology by papermania. The dies are Cheery Lynn, I kept it simple but my main image is so gorgeous I don't think I need much else!
I hope you will get the chance to look at the DT inspiration and get crafting with your favourite colours.

Fairy tale/anything goes with Creative Fingers
We have a wonderful theme for you this week at Creative Fingers, and a fab sponsor with Scrappers Delight. Here's my card
My digi is called Autumn Nymph isn't she stunning! I love her sexy pouty pose she was so much fun to colour with my Spectrum Noirs. My background is Prima, my frame is a magazine freebie, my ribbon die is Memory Box, my sentiment is Papermania and my butterflies are from a dusty old Martha Stewart punch I forgot I had!
It's quite a girlie card which is well out of my comfort zone but I think my gorgeous nymph gives it a bit of an edge, which I like.
I hope you will take a look at the blog for the gorgeous makes from my teammates.
