Autumnal Tag using Visible Image

Its been so long since I have had an inky play with my distress inks and stamps so it was a joy to use my beloved Visible Image stamps to make a wee autumn inspired tag

The stamps I used are the gorgeous Edward and Winter tree, I coloured Edward, my background and my ribbon with Distress Markers.  My sentiment is K and Co.  My finishing touch some dots of black pearl Cismic Shimmer.

I've kept it simple, I love the colours of autumn and think they suit the lovely Edward!

I would like to enter my tag in the Visible Image colours of Autumn challenge

Girls just want to have fun, Creative Fingers challenge with Sassy Studios

We have a wonderful challenge at Creative Fingers this week, Girls just want to have fun!

We are sponsored by the fabulous Sassy Studios , heres my card

She is coloured with Spectrum Noirs, my backing paper is Prima, my die cut cogs are Kanban and my vintage buttons are from the Works.

She is gorgeous and was so much fun to colour, I was trying to give my card a vintage steampunk feel (I was thinking of the terrible Will Smith film Wild wild west for some reason!)

Please pop along to the blog for all the details of the challenge and get some inspiration from the Design Team.

Anything Goes with Indigo Blu with Through the Purple Haze challenges

We have very exciting challenge for you at Through the Purple Haze challenges this week using the fab stamps of Indigo Blu and the theme is Anything Goes with Indigoblu!

I was lucky enough to get the set Blooming Great to play with which you will find here I thought I would use my stamps to alter a wee notepad Ive had for a while.

I used Imagination metallic mica paint and covered a few sheets of just plain old copier paper with different colours in the palette, going for an autumnal feel.

I stamped using Versafine black ink and cut out and mounted the flowers and leaves at the bottom of my pad along with some dots of pearl Cosmic Shimmer.

The rest looked a bit bare when I remembered a pack of tags I had, covered it in paint dabbed dry with some kitchen roll, stamped my sentiment and some flourishes from the set and finished off with a charm and some lace from my stash.

I have to confess that I did most of the painting and cutting out during my lunchtime at work this week sitting in my car!  I did get some odd looks but I tell you what I got so much done!

Indigo Blu stamps are the highest quality and an absolute joy to work with and I cant wait to see your creations for the challenge using them.  Please have a look at the blog here for some inspiration and all the details of the challenge.

Creative Fingers Ribbon and Lace

Time for a new challenge at Creative Fingers and we have a lovely theme this week, Ribbon and Lace.  I could fill a room with all my ribbons but am strangely always looking for more when I'm in a craft shop!

This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Crafty Sentiments, heres my card

This card is for my friend who's birthday is the day before Halloween, Its such an adorable image from Crafty Sentiments.

I coloured her with Spectrum Noirs and I tried a new technique (not particularly successfully!) of not blending as much as normal to give a painted effect.  My background paper is from my pad I bought in my local Lidl, its lasting well!  My swirl dies are Marianne and my tag is Papermania.  Ribbon, lace and charm are all from my stash.  A few dots of pearly black cosmic shimmer to finish.

I love Autumnal tones and this image really suited the colours of my backing paper.  I just love the cheeky wee black cat hes the image of my old moggy Malachi or Minky as we call him for some reason.  I read somewhere if a cat approaches you with his tail like a question mark it means he's happy so the cat on this paper must be very content!

I hope you will get the chance to pop along to the Creative Fingers blog here and see what my wonderful Teammates have made to inspire you and find all the details of our challenge.

I would like to enter the following challenges
