Through the Purple Haze Challenges Inspired by a film, book, song

Its challenge time again at  Through the Purple Haze and what a fab theme we have for you this week.  Your makes have to be inspired by a film, song or book!

We are sponsored by Sassy Studio this week heres my make

My wall hanging is inspired by the film The Nightmare before Christmas and the song I Miss You by Blink 182 which has the line "we can live like Jack and Sally if you want, and we'll have Halloween on Christmas"

I set myself the task of making something including Halloween, Christmas and a touch of romance!

My gorgeous digi which you will find here  is coloured with a combination of Flexmarkers, Marvy le Plume markers and Spectrum Noirs, the mat behind is Kanban.  My snowflake swirl die is Memory Box and my large snowflake dies are Crafts Too.  My twine and sentiment are both Papermania.

I hope you will have a look at the blog to see the DT inspiration and get all the details of our challenge this week.

Creative Fingers Make it Shine!

Time for another challenge at Creative Fingers and our theme will brighten up your dark and dreary autumn days Make it Shine

We are sponsored this week by the fabulous Lacy Sunshine and lucky Design Team that we are we got some wonderful digis to play with, heres my card

She is called Pearl, sea kissed Mermaid, isn't she gorgeous?  You will find Lacy Sunshine digis here where you will find a wealth of beauties and the artist Heather is always adding new images so I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

I coloured her with flexmarkers and Spectrum Noirs and highlighted her tail, eyes and hair clip with Stickles glitter glue (How I struggled to get a photo that showed the glitter, this pathetic effort is the best of the bunch, sigh)  My backing paper is from Lidl.  What a treat to slip some crafty goodies into my basket with my cat food and nappies!  My gems and ribbon are from my ever expanding stash and my lovely little oyster button to finish off.

Sadly since I photographed my card my oyster button has mysteriously vanished from my card and hasnt been seen since!  I just hope my silly cat didnt think it was a real fish and munched it!

Please pop along to the blog here  to see my talented Teammates have created and for all the details of the challenge.

Simply Create Too, Bugs but no Butterflies

We have a new challenge at Simply Create Too, Bugs but no Butterflies.  When I saw this theme I immediately thought of a gorgeous Lacy Sunshine digi I had downloaded and not used yet.

She is a Melancholy Moppet and she was such fun to colour with my Flexmarkers!  My backing paper was a magazine freebie, my doilie is Papermania (I will try not to use a doilie on my next make Im getting a bit obsessed with them!)  My twine and charm are from my stash and some dots of pearly Cosmic Shimmer to finish.  I tried to make my twine like a web, I think I should have added a few across the way though.

Spiders are probably not the most popular creatures but I like them!  At the moment I have a HUGE one in my living room and every morning me and my wee boy have to look up at all the corners of the ceiling to find him and wish him "Good morning Mr Spider!"  We will miss him when he moves on.

Please pop along to the Simply Create Too blog here for some wonderful DT inspiration.

Through the Purple Haze - Use your Dies with Delicious Doodles

Its time for a new challenge at Through the Purple Haze challenges, this week its use your dies, considering I could actually open my own die shop this suited me perfectly!

We were lucky enough to get some Delicious Doodles images to play with heres my make

I absolutely adore wolves and this image was such a joy to colour!  I went for an unusual hair colour but I think she pulls it off!  My background paper is Prima, my tree die is Memory Box and the swirls are Marianne.  Some grey pearls from my stash and some dots of pearly Cosmic Shimmer to finish.

I do overthink my cards sometimes but I wanted this to look like a winter forest with the stark trees, swirls of mist and dots of pearly frost.  Let me know if it works!

You will find a wealth of wonderful digis at Delicious Doodles here, I loved colouring this one!

Please pop along to the TTPH challenge blog here and see the DT inspiration, you will be rushing off to your stash to dig your dies out or rushing to the craft shop to buy more! (hmm sounds like a plan!)
