Through the Purple Haze challenges Anything with flowers

Time for the second challenge at Through the Purple Haze challenges and this week its a fab theme for this time of year - Anything with flowers.  Heres my card -

I saw this as a chance to play with my Prima mixed media doll, these stamps are so versatile!  I used mine for an old favourite technique paper piecing. The papers are all My minds eye and her skin and hair are coloured with flexmarkers.  My rosy ribbon is American crafts,my tag and buttons are Papermania and my paper flowers were magazine freebies.

Please pop along to the challenge blog and see what the DT have made to inspire you.  The prize this week is a mystery prize, how tempting is that!

Creative Fingers Anything goes!

I am delighted to have joined the DT for a very exciting new challenge blog Creative Fingers.

I am honoured to have a post introducing me as part of the team which you will find here

We will start weekly challenges on 6th September and until then we are having monthly challenges.  This month we are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine heres my make

My background card and mats are Kanban, my lace is Papermania and my die cut is Memory Box.  I coloured lovely Coco with Promarkers.  I have always struggled colouring hair but I found Heathers digi guided me perfectly where to have dark and light patches, I really enjoyed colouring her and and it has given me a bit of confidence with my hair colouring!

Simply Create Too Anything but a card

The new challenge at Simply Create Too is one of my favourites - Anything but a card.  I decided to make a pen holder for my beloved Distress Markers.

I coloured these images when I first got my Distress Markers over a year ago.  I was really happy with them but didn't know what to use them on.  I must admit Ive forgotten the makes of the stamps, if you recognise them please enlighten me!

My background papers are My Minds Eye , my buttons are Papermania and my die cut is Memory Box.  The base of my pen holder was a jar of fancy coffee which I only bought so I could use the jar!

Please pop along to the Simply Create Too challenge here for some inspiration from the rest of the DT.

Through the Purple Haze 1st challenge, Indigoblu

It's time for our first challenge at Through the Purple Haze challenges and I couldnt be more excited!

We have a double challenge to start with starting with Indigoblu stamps, heres my creation

This was my first time using Indigoblu stamps and I have to say they were a joy!  They are premounted so I got a lovely crisp image every time.  The set the DT got to play with was the Live, laugh, love set here.

I stamped and coloured the flowers, leaves, butterfly and dragonfly with flexmarkers and cut them out.  I made my wreath template by drawing round a plate (technical eh!) cut the centre out and got sticking! I found a channel showing my old favourite The Golden Girls so I was sticking away while I giggled through a couple of episodes of that.  My mat in the middle is Kanban and I used my flexmarkers round the edge to pull it all together. Ribbon from my stash just to hang it up.  A change of colours would see the wreath suitable for Christmas too, such versatile stamps!

Please pop along here to see what my lovely teammates have been up to and for details of the fab Christmas competition with a prize you would not believe all you have to do is enter our challenge every week until 16th December.

A big thank you to Anita and the girls for all the hard work thats gone in to setting up the challenge, we have a very exciting journey ahead of us!

Gingerloft Trees challenge

This fortnight at Gingerloft our theme is Trees heres my DT make

A bit out of comfort zone I tried an easel card to showcase the lovely Gingerloft digi which you can find here. I coloured behind the digi with flexmarkers.
My backing papers are MCS, my flowering tree die cut is memory box and the bird and butterfly are both sizzix.  The ribbon, pearls and button are from my stash.  My darling hubby exclaimed the other day if I put all my stash in a pile you could see it from space! Hmm he might be right.....thats why its carefully "stored" all around my house.

Please pop along to the Gingerloft challenge blog and have a look at the wonderful DT creations and enter your own for the chance to win some fab digis.
