I'm just back from taking my wee boy to the park and a wee wander on Saltcoats beach what a beautiful morning!I better whisper in case I jinx it but I think summer has finally arrived in Scotland!
To celebrate I've made a very quick summer card
My background papers are Prima, my doilie is Papermania as is my washi tape and Ive embellished with a selection of stickers from my local Home bargains think they were 59p a pack thats practically free (thats what I tell my hubbie to justify buying 4 packs!) My main image is from Fitztowns fab Stardust and pumpkin cd, my new love, I cannot get enough of these images. I have rediscovered my flexmarkers after my fling with Distress markers and am loving the gentle colours I'm getting with them.
Fitztown are having a 20% discount event until monday so pop along and have a look at the bargains here just enter the coupon code 20OFFSALE at checkout
Right, I'm off back out into the sun just in case Scottish summer is only one day long and sadly I'm speaking from previous experience!

Fitztown very first challenge, Anything goes!
The moment has finally arrived, our first challenge at Fitztown is now live!
Heres my DT creation
I've used a digi stamp from the Stardust and Pumpkin cd which you can find along with many other digis here
I coloured her using Distress markers to watercolour, her skin is promarkers. Shes mounted on a Kanban mat which I've dotted round the edge with flexmakers to give a kind of lace effect. My swirl is a Create too die and my border is memory box, my first time using it and I think its stunning so pleased with it! My lace is American crafts some pearls and paper flowers from my stash. My backing paper is Prima (I'm beginning to wonder if I will ever use any other paper I'm so OBSESSED with prima papers!)
I hope you like my cheeky, cheery wee card I just loved my Fitztown image to work with I hope you will pop along and see the amazing creations my wonderful teammates have created to inspire you.
You will find the challenge here where you can find out about the fab prizes on offer.
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges

Gingerloft Challenge, Happy Birthday!
Its time for another challenge at Gingerloft and this fortnight the theme is Happy Birthday! I decided on a shabby chic style for my DT make
The main image is the gorgeous Butterfly collage digi from Gingerloft which you can buy here I coloured my image using Distress Markers, I printed two copies and layered the letter on top just for a bit of dimension. I added a bit of glitter to the butterflies. I matted my.image onto a bit of gold card that I embossed with a music score (I think the embossing folder was Dienamics) I coloured the ripped edges with Distress Markers and tied an American Crafts velvet ribbon round it.
My backing paper is Prima and I finished off with some pearls, twine and charm from my ever expanding stash.
Finally my Happy Birthday from Anna Griffin.
May is certainly the time for birthdays in my family I have my mum and brother one day after eachother then my OHs dad and sister all within a few days so this challenge is very fitting for me!
I hope you can join in our challenge and enter your birthday cards here You can win 3 digis of your choice and believe me there are millions to choose from, Tami who designs them is an amazing artist and is always adding more.

Sunglasses required!
When I started crafting, like most other other crafters I'm sure, I didnt set out with a particular style in mind, I just sort of drifted into a shabby vintage way, generally quite neutral colours. I have never really felt at home with bright colours so todays little tag took me well out my comfort zone!
When I saw this gorgeous paper from Prima there would be no way I could stick to my neutrals and use it. My main image is Clara from Visible Image coloured with Distress Markers. My ribbon for the top of my tag is American crafts and my button came free with this months Mollie Makes Magazine.
One of the challenges I am entering As you like it asks us to use our favourite die. This little beauty is Crafts too and I have to fight the urge to use it on everything I make, I just love it! I own about 49 million other swirl dies but this one just feels right and it was only £3.79!
I would like to enter my very bright tag in the following challenges

Simply create too DT
Just a quick post today to share some news. I am thrilled to have joined the DT at Simply Create too. It is a challenge blog which runs fortnightly challenges, here's the link http://simplycreatetoo.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/new-design-team-members.html
The team is spilt into 2 so I will be designing for the next challenge and I can't wait! It is a truly international team and I am honoured to be taking part. We have a top 3 and also a prize for junior crafters which I think is fab.
I don't believe in new years resolutions but I decided my goal for 2013 was to join a design team and I am absolutely delighted to now be part of 2 fabulous teams!

Gingerloft Challenge Lilac and Lace
I am absolutely over the moon to have joined the fabulous Design Team for Gingerloft Digistamps. What a lovely team they are, making a novice like me feel at home!
Gingerloft have a fabulous range of digistamps from gorgeous vintage images to characters, scenic views and so much more you will be spoiled for choice! I hope you will have time to take a wee look http://www.gingerloft.blogspot.co.uk/
The first challenge I am lucky enough to design for is Lilac and Lace, what a lovely theme for spring, which worringly doesnt seem to have started in Scotland yet even though its May! Never mind, hopefully my card will remind me what Spring should feel like
I used the Lighthouse set which you can find http://www.gingerloft.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/lighthouse
I made a background by watercolouring using my Distress markers. I coloured my lighthouse again using my Distress markers and a wee bit of iridescent glitter glue on the waves and the lighthouse. I printed my lighthouse out twice and layered it over itself for a bit of diy decoupage. My background papers are the same paper in both blue and lilac, I dug them out my mountainous stash but a distant memory tells me they are DCWV. The lace is American crafts and my wee die cut is Crafts too. My background card is a plain old white card blank lightly watercoloured again with Distress Markers.
I hope you like my wee card and you can find the fabulous Lilac and Lace Gingerloft Challenge http://gingerloftchallenge.blogspot.com/ runnng for the next fortnight from 5th May.
